About the event

An Ayurveda primer that introduces the foundational concepts of ayurvedic medicine, integrating it with modern science and medicine to provide balance and holistic wellness.

Ayurveda is based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a balance between mind, body, and spirit. It emphasizes harmony with nature and understanding individual constitution.

🌀Doshas: These are the three vital energies that govern physiological and psychological processes:

🌍Five Elements: Ayurveda views everything as a combination of five elements (Pancha Mahabhuta):

Earth (Prithvi)

Water (Apas)

Fire (Tejas)

Air (Vayu)

Space (Akasha)

🥗Diet and Lifestyle: Diet and daily routines are tailored to balance the doshas.

🍀Herbal Remedies: Ayurveda uses various herbs and natural substances to restore balance and treat ailments.

These are selected based on the individual’s dosha and specific health conditions.

🫧Detoxification and Rejuvenation: Techniques such as Panchakarma are used to cleanse the body of toxins and rejuvenate overall health.

🩺Diagnosis: Ayurveda employs methods like pulse diagnosis, observation of physical characteristics, and patient history to assess imbalances and prescribe treatments.

Understanding these basics provides a foundation for exploring Ayurveda further and integrating its principles into daily life for better health and wellness.
