Surrasa
Understand your patterns. Nourish your vitality. Build a rhythm that supports you.
Program Overview
A personalized six-session program with Dr. Usha Nagavarapu for people seeking an Ayurvedic approach to nourishment, heart health, and everyday well-being, including those concerned about cholesterol, whether or not they take prescribed statins.
Surrasa brings together Ayurvedic wisdom and personalized mind-body care, informed by Dr. Usha’s background in pharmacology and scientific research. Rather than focusing on a number alone, we explore your constitution, food choices, digestion, movement, sleep, stress, and everyday routines.
Through Ayurveda’s whole-person, root-cause perspective, traditional concepts such as Agni (digestive and transformative fire), Ama (a traditional concept describing what remains incompletely processed), and Medo Dhatu (the body’s fat tissue in Ayurveda) provide a framework for discussing nourishment and how the body uses and stores energy. These guide individualized wellness conversations, rather than replacing blood tests or medical assessment.
Who This Program Is For
People who want practical, personalized guidance around food, daily activity, rest, and heart-friendly habits. The program welcomes people taking prescribed statins and those not taking them, with recommendations tailored to their circumstances.
What Is Included
One initial 60-minute consultation and five 30-minute follow-ups, personalized food and diet guidance, recipes, meal-planning resources, movement and daily-rhythm suggestions, breathing and mindfulness practices, and a Customized Routine Card.
Your Six-Session Journey
- Session 1: Your story and daily habits. Explore your constitution, priorities, health history, current medications and supplements, and daily patterns. Review existing blood test results you choose to share as context.
- Session 2: Nourishment and Agni. Develop practical meals around your preferences, with attention to fiber-rich foods, dietary fats, meal rhythms, and satisfying nourishment.
- Session 3: Movement and daily rhythm. Explore manageable activity, breaks from prolonged sitting, and routines suited to your abilities and current care.
- Session 4: Mind, stress, and rest. Bring breathing, mindfulness, and restorative evening practices into your plan.
- Session 5: Personalization. Review your experience, refine food and lifestyle practices, and discuss whether any botanical recommendations are appropriate alongside your medications.
- Session 6: Bringing it together. Create your Customized Routine Card, connecting nourishment, movement, rest, optional products, and sustainable daily practices.
Working With Your Current Care
Your prescribed medication remains unchanged by this program. Medication decisions and cholesterol monitoring stay with your prescribing clinician. Dr. Usha’s pharmacology background informs individualized discussions of medications, supplements, and botanicals, rather than a standard herbal regimen for everyone.
Program Investment
$650 for six sessions, including 3½ hours of individual consultation time, personalized preparation, recipes, and educational resources.
Your Virya Routine
The program connects with Virya through intentional nourishment and daily practices. Your Customized Routine Card organizes nourishment, movement, rest, and any individually selected products by format.
Products Personalized for You
Personalization can extend beyond your wellness plan. Many Surrasa products can be individually personalized, with available options discussed in light of your Ayurvedic constitution, preferences, sensitivities, and current medications and supplements. Your consultation explores whether an existing product or a personalized option is the better fit for your routine.
Product recommendations are discussed individually during your consultation after reviewing your medications, supplements, sensitivities, and preferences. Your Customized Routine Card records any selections and personalized guidance agreed during your consultation.
Optional Tea Rituals
Enjoy exploring these Surrasa blends as optional additions to an everyday tea ritual, separate from your personalized food guidance.
- Virya Kindle Herbal Tea Blend: a caffeine-free infusion with warming, tart, floral notes of hibiscus, cinnamon, mullein, and ginger.
- Virya Lift Herbal Tea Blend: an aromatic blend of rose, lavender, ginger, green tea, elderberry, and ashwagandha.
Selections are individualized during your consultation. Follow each product’s label directions and precautions.
No products are included. Suggested ready-made or personalized products and herbal blends are optional and purchased separately.
Your Customized Routine Card
Your consultation report ends with an individualized card translating your discussions into practical daily choices. It connects inside-out nourishment, relevant topical care, and mind-body practices without turning optional tea rituals into cholesterol-management recommendations.
- Nourishment and beverages: meal rhythms, hydration, recipes, and preparation notes reflecting your preferences and the food guidance discussed in your sessions. Optional tea choices and timing are considered individually, including caffeine and the medications and supplements you share.
- Facial care: a manageable routine where relevant to your skin preferences, with optional existing-product links only when appropriate. Skin-care purchases are not required for this program.
- Body and scalp care: relevant self-guided care practices and optional topical suggestions, kept separate from your heart-health and nourishment discussions.
- Daily practices: manageable movement, breaks from sitting, comfortable breathing, rest, and seasonal rhythms, with priorities to revisit at your next appointment.
The card distinguishes guidance included in your program from optional ready-made or individually personalized products. Your plan evolves through your experience and conversations, rather than a standard shopping list.
Appointments at Your Pace
Begin with your initial 60-minute consultation, online or in person. Arrange the five 30-minute follow-ups together as the program progresses; you do not need to commit to every date upfront. Session themes can be adapted to your priorities.
If your package has already been paid by invoice, Zelle, in the office, or online, arrange the remaining appointments with Surrasa rather than purchasing the package again. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
